El peor enemigo de los cruceros es el paso del tiempo. Si tuviese que destacar el aspecto que menos me gustó de mi viaje por el Mediterráneo, nombraría la constante carrera a contrarreloj que exige el hecho de pasar siempre solamente unas poquitas horas en cada ciudad. El barco siempre tiene un horario de llegada a puerto, y más te vale ser puntual a la vuelta, si no te quieres quedar en tierra.
A pesar de todo, ya que enamorarse es rápido y que creo en los flechazos, os puedo decir que me dejé seducir muy muy rápido por Nápoles. Esa ciudad costera del sur de Italia es una maravilla. ¡Qué caos más increíble! ¡Qué energía! ¡Qué monumentos más espectaculares!
Si tenéis la suerte de pisarla, os recomiendo visitar la iglesia ‘Gesú Novo’, la piazza Plebiscito y su palacio real, el castillo Dell’Ovo y sus miles de callejones. Y es que callejear por Nápoles es una experiencia muy agradable. La ciudad tiene un punto decadente delicioso. ¿Y qué deciros de su comida? ¡Ahí nacio la pizza! Probar la de la pizzeria Da Michele o cualquier trattoria de barrio, y terminar la tarde con un gelato son un plan perfecto para seguir caminando por la calle Toledo y hacer algo de shopping por sus miles de tiendas. Os lo aseguro: Nápoles es maravillosa. Y se merece muchas horas, incluso días, de visita.

The worst enemy of doing a trip by cruise is the past of time. If I had to emphasize the aspect I disliked the most about my trip around the Mediterranean, it would be the constant run against the clock that the fact of spending only a few hours in each city requires. The boat always has a schedule of arrival to port, and you better be on time when it leaves it, if you do don’t want to miss it.
Anyway, falling in love with a place can be fast and I believe in heartaches. That’s why I LOVED Naples.
This city of southern Italy is wonderful. What an incredible chaos! What energy! How beautiful it is! If you are lucky enough to step by, I recommend visiting the church ‘Gesu Novo’, the Piazza of Plebiscito and the Royal Palace, the castle dell’Ovo and the thousands of little streets the city has. Because walking around Naples is a very pleasant experience. The city has a rich decadent point. And what can I say about the food? The city is the place where the pizza was born! Tasting Da Michele pizzeria’s one or any little trattoria of the neighborhood, and finishing the evening with a gelato are a perfect plan to feed you with enough energy to keep walking down the Toledo street and do some shopping. I tell you: Naples is wonderful. And it deserves many hours, even days, to visit it.
