Tierra del Agua

Vivimos estresados. Condicionados. Con prisas. Con exigencias. Vivimos corriendo de un lado para otro, tratando de sobrevivir sin ni siquiera pararnos a pensar, disfrutar, o sentir. Mi viaje a Bali me hizo volver a conectar conmigo, con mi entorno y con las sensaciones. Cuanto menos tienes, más observas, disfrutas, y más te impacta todo. Ya voy pensando en mi próximo viaje asiático, planeando otra aventura por aquellos paraísos lejanos.
Mientras, me gustaría compartir un lugar que visité hace unas semanas, y cuya lejanía de España es mucho menor que cualquier destino de Asia. Es cierto que conectar con la naturaleza, consigo mismo (y desconectar de todo lo demás) es posible en cualquier lugar. Pero algunos lugares son más espectaculares, y facilitan el proceso una barbaridad.
Así es Tierra del Agua. Situado en plena naturaleza, en la aldea asturiana de Caleao, ese pequeño hotel eco-sostenible es una maravilla. Compuesto por un spa, un excelente restaurante, un solarium, un llagar y unas habitaciones que disponen de un pequeño salón y una cocina, es el sitio perfecto para conectar con la belleza de asturias, dejarse mimar…y mirar un poco más hacia uno mismo. Hospedarse allí es como hospedarse en casa de unos familiares, ya que el calor, la atención y la amabilidad de todo el equipo se asemeja al cariño que te dan los seres queridos. ¡Así son los asturianos! We are always stressed. Conditioned. On a hurry. With demands. We live running from one side to the other, trying to survive without even stopping and just take the time to think, to enjoy, or to feel. My trip to Bali made me reconnect with myself, my surroundings and my feelings. The less you have, the more you observe, enjoy, and the more you feel touched by everything around you.
I’m already thinking about my next Asian trip, planning another adventure around one of this continent’s paradise.
In the meanwhile, I would like to share a place I visited a few weeks ago, and whose distance from my home in Spain is shorter than any Asian destination. It is true that connecting with nature, with oneself (and to get away from everything else) is possible anywhere. But some places are more spectacular, more amazing, and that helps the process a lot.
One of those wonderful places is Tierra del Agua. Located in the countryside, in the Asturian village of Caleao, this small eco-sustainable hotel is wonderful. It consists of a spa, an excellent restaurant, a solarium, a regional kind of bar and rooms that feature a small living room and a kitchen. This little paradise is the perfect place to connect with the beauty of Asturias site,to be pampered … and to take the time to look after oneself a little bit more than we usually do. Staying there is like staying at home. Because the attention and friendliness of the whole team is quite similar to the love you receive from people from your own family. Asturian people are just like that: incredibly friendly! Gracies, nenus, for those warm and sunny days.
